To make woolly things is to wear them, and even though i do not always wear everything i make (just imagine) i do love making hats, in both crochet and circular knitting, and i love wearing jumpers, so i have had a go at making those too… so this is for easy finding posts about them!

What have i been up to creatively since the last entry?  Mish-Mash of creative activities to be honest;  there ARE a few patterns lurking in the murky black waters of my to do list; for example, meringue stitch adapted into a pentagonal stained glass inspired blanket and summer cotton over-sized hats (watch out!  it is never to early to start preparing for the next summer...).   Worth mentioning is that I have made a seventies inspired tea cosy for a present following a fabulous Ravelry pattern which was well received and is pictured below... With Winter approaching - even though October and some of November have been quite mild this year - HATS are the word!! The Innocent big knit is now being prepared, my hats have gone a little while ago and will hopefully make the person who gets to own them smile... Age UK are doing a great job and it seems like there has been a few people getting involved this year again, knitting and crocheting hats for a great cause. It may be a little early yet to be thinking of winter hats, but if you are to make one for each member of your family - as i can almost guarantee you will have to because they will love yours so much - you better get cracking... Following this new pattern you will make a gorgeous medieval looking, Nordic (Scandinavian) style little red riding hood hat... I love it because it has lots of pompoms....
